Bugs Killed
Problems I have seen killed on Windows and Mac, with the steps that killed them.

Windows app failed to reinstall from Microsoft Store
The Windows app had been uninstalled and the first reinstall attempt hit a generic error. Reinstalling it through Microsoft Store and signing back in restored normal operation.

SolidWorks was unable to obtain a license on the user’s Windows computer. The technician remotely enabled the license on the machine and left the app open.

The laptop screen was cracked in the lower-right corner and showed black/white lines. A replacement machine was prepared, sign-in was restored by resetting the password and MFA, and applications, files, bookmarks, and settings were transferred.

M2M shows a Quit/Ignore error when saving or processing new transactions
Saving or processing new transactions in M2M failed with an error dialog offering Quit or Ignore. The M2M services were restarted on the server, and the issue was later confirmed resolved.

Laptop freezes and locks up; Windows and Office repair applied
A Windows laptop was freezing and locking up enough to require a hard shutdown and restart. The technician applied pending Windows updates, ran operating system scans, and repaired Office 365 after one crash appeared to involve Outlook, then left the machine in normal-use testing.

G HUB latest version was blocked by Windows Firewall and had to be rolled back
Mouse software stopped working correctly on the newest app version because Windows Firewall was blocking some features. The technician rolled it back to the previous version and disabled automatic updates.

NetExtender window opens offscreen after docking changes
NetExtender was running, but its window kept opening offscreen after the laptop moved between docked and undocked use. The fix was to reinstall the latest version, clear the Windows external-monitor cache, reboot, and verify it reopened in the visible area.

Excel and other apps were freezing or crashing on a Windows laptop. The technician repaired Microsoft Office, ran Windows file-repair checks including DISM, and increased virtual memory; the freezing was not recurring at closure.

Mouse and keyboard connected through the docking station were not working because the docking station driver failed to initialize properly. The issue was resolved by reconnecting the docking station and restarting the machine; updates were checked and none were available for the dock, mouse, or keyboard.

The survey link was being blocked and returned 'This site can't be reached' in the browser. Additional domains were added to the firewall allow list, and a later retest from a test computer showed the link opening.

Sharp BP-70C31 printer stopped printing
Printing to the Sharp BP-70C31 stopped after it had worked earlier in the day. The existing printer instance was removed, the device was rediscovered and reinstalled with Add Device, a test page printed successfully, and the printer was set as default.

File Explorer search was taking a long time to load and the machine felt very slow. The technician adjusted the power settings and rebuilt the search index, then confirmed File Explorer search was working correctly.

Shared user mailboxes lost their licenses and users could not use them
Two user mailboxes that were also used as shared mailboxes lost their licenses, which stopped users from using them. The technician re-licensed the affected mailboxes.

The account was locking out when logging in to Remote Desktop through the VPN. The technician created a new user profile for the account, then tested RDP again and confirmed the lockout no longer happened.

Several computers and the GUI time clock were showing the wrong time because they were syncing from an unresponsive server. The server was rebooted during a maintenance window, and the reboot completed after updates finished applying.

OneDrive folder sync was failing. The technician renamed two folders and several files to remove numbers from the names, and syncing started working again.

ScanSnap Home could not connect to the USB 3.0 ScanSnap iX1600 scanner and kept failing during setup. The technician removed ScanSnap Home, rebooted the PC, and installed the latest version with admin credentials; the scanner then detected correctly and a test scan succeeded.

An external monitor connected to a laptop stopped working. The issue was resolved by finishing Windows updates, uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics driver, and rebooting; the monitor then displayed normally on both screens.

The workstation could scan to the Konica Minolta Bizhub C451i, but it could not print because the printer driver was not installed. The driver was installed and a test page printed successfully.

The requested admin access did not take effect when the users were added as a group. The configuration was changed so each account was added individually, then it synced and worked as local admin.

The printer was not set as the default in Windows, so the wrong printer name appeared in print options. The correct printer was set as default and was shown online afterward.

The Windows machine was running very slowly and taking a long time to open documents even after restarts. The technician removed bloatware and temporary files from the Temp folder, repaired corrupted drivers, and the slowdown was no longer reproducible; the user later confirmed the issue was resolved.

Scanning to the network folder was failing and the file was not arriving in the destination folder. The technician corrected the scanner account permissions on the affected scan folders and verified that a test scan worked.

The printer lost its wireless connection and went offline. It was reconnected to wireless and reinstalled on the computer, and printing then worked from both the local machine and the virtual machine.

Opening a PDF produced an error because the PDF application's processes were unresponsive. The technician ended the stuck processes, restarted the machine, and cleared temporary files.

The system clock was running about 4–5 minutes fast even after reboots, changing time zones, and with automatic time enabled. The technician forced a time resync and the clock returned to normal.

Firefox was showing adware-style pop-ups that said the computer was infected and pushed a phone number to call. The technician blocked the sites sending the notifications, and the pop-ups stopped.
