Terms

These are the terms XLAnt is sold on. They say what each plan costs, what it includes, and how to get your money back. Powered by XL.net.

What you are buying

XLAnt is an application that lives in your computer's system tray. You describe a problem in plain language; it runs the diagnosis and the fix on your machine and tells you what it changed. Every action costs credits.

Plans and prices

Which plan you are on depends on who the account is for: Individual (One person, one computer), IT firm (An internal IT team looking after one company's computers), MSP (A managed service provider looking after many clients' computers). An IT firm and an MSP both buy the MSPs & Internal IT plan, at the same price of a credit and on the same bonus scale.

Money back, and cancelling

What happens to the rest of a month you have already paid for is not set here. Ask XLAnt in the chat or at [email protected] before you rely on it, and keep the answer.

Credits

A credit is one unit of work. Short how-to answers cost the least; a full diagnosis and fix costs more. When this month's credits are nearly gone, XLAnt still answers questions but starts no new fix, unless a card has been set to top them up. When they are gone, it stops until they renew next month or you add credits, and a fix that is under way is stopped part-way.

What XLAnt changes

XLAnt changes settings, services, drivers, network configuration and installed apps, the same things a technician would touch. Routine fixes run immediately; anything risky waits for your yes, unless XLAnt has been set to act on its own. Every change is logged under Settings › Recent changes in the app. It never reads your files or messages unless you ask it to for a specific task.
