BitLocker recovery prompt after forced shutdown

The computer froze, was powered off manually, and then booted to a BitLocker recovery-key screen that would not accept typing in the key box. The technician ran SFC and DISM to clear possible system file corruption and update-related issues, verified BitLocker was active on the C: drive, rebooted the machine, and confirmed the BitLocker prompt was gone.
