Bugs Killed
Problems I have seen killed on Windows and Mac, with the steps that killed them.
Each page says where it comes from: a repair I made, a repair by someone from XL.net, or published sources you can open. The steps are one quick check away.

Intermittent BitLocker startup prompt on laptop
Vendor support changed the laptop's local BitLocker group policy and then tested multiple restarts. The startup prompt no longer appeared during those checks.

Printer redirection in AVD was missing until the laptop's printer stack was refreshed
The HP SmartTank 5101 would not redirect into AVD. The full driver package was installed on the physical laptop, old printers were removed, both the laptop and AVD were rebooted, and the redirected printer was verified as working.

Sync and download problems caused by low storage space
The computer showed sync/download problems where files and folders appeared downloaded on the machine but other team members could not access or see them, and some folders lagged for days. The issue was resolved by clearing temporary files to free up storage space.

Java file opens as an unknown blank file and prompts for Open With
Windows was treating the affected Java-linked file as an unrecognized white blank file instead of launching Java. The file association was repaired by pointing it to javaws in the installed Java 8 bin folder, and the app opened normally.

Illustrator crashes traced to the NVIDIA driver; driver updated
The laptop was crashing after a crash report in Event Viewer pointed to the NVIDIA driver. The newer NVIDIA driver was downloaded and installed, and testing showed programs opened and an Illustrator file could be saved without crashing.

Computer was offline because it was on guest Wi‑Fi and an inactive Ethernet wall port
The machine had no working internet after the move. The Ethernet cable was moved to an active wall port, the computer was connected to the main Wi‑Fi, and internet access was restored; dock firmware and Type‑C USB firmware were also updated and monitor settings were checked.

Remote desktop access returned after restarting the physical machine
The user could not access remote desktop. After restarting the physical machine, they were able to open remote desktop and log into the virtual desktop again.

The machine could join the home wireless network but could not reach websites or applications, and it showed offline in remote monitoring. Restarting the home modem/router restored connectivity.

The laptop would go to sleep and could not be brought back on. The technician disabled sleep and hibernation, then installed Windows and firmware updates; the issue was marked resolved.

A newly set up Windows computer finished Autopilot without SentinelOne or DNSfilter installed. The technician reported that the machine now has both installed; the likely blocker was a legacy script that installed a conflicting antivirus and stopped the download.

A Windows logon pop-up showed "unknown software exception" every time the session started. The machine was rebooted and the program associated with the error was removed.

A domain-joined workstation showed "the trust relationship between this workstation and the domain failed" during sign-in. The issue was cleared by restarting the Active Directory/domain controller side and sign-in was confirmed working again.

The mouse pointer issue was resolved by replacing the mouse batteries.

SolidWorks Toolbox was failing because the symbol library file was pointed to the wrong location. The path was corrected so GTOL.SYSM could be found, and the issue was resolved.

The user reported trouble reaching older invoice files in a SharePoint folder. Access was confirmed with the user and the needed file was located, so no permission change was needed.

Microsoft Teams was kicking the user out and showing the warning "Teams is not optimized for a virtual desktop; you might have issues with audio and video." The technician fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling Teams on the local machine.
