Bugs Killed
Problems I have seen killed on Windows and Mac, with the steps that killed them.
Each page says where it comes from: a repair I made, a repair by someone from XL.net, or published sources you can open. The steps are one quick check away.
Windows
Printer would not print documents until it was rebooted and moved off the guest network
Printing failed even after the printer was powered off and back on, and a test page would print but normal documents would not. The printer was rebooted twice and switched from the guest wireless network to the normal network; after that, black-and-white and color printing worked.

Low disk space on a Windows PC caused by cached temporary and update files
The machine was almost out of storage. Temporary files, Windows Update leftovers, and cached bloatware data were cleaned up, which freed about 31 GB.

Windows
Unable to sign into work apps until password and MFA were reset
A new user could not log into apps such as Outlook and Paylocity. The technician reset the password and MFA, and access worked afterward.

Windows
Browser warning from a previously visited website
A browser-generated warning/notification was appearing on the machine. The technician removed the notification, scanned the computer, confirmed it was clean, and cleared browser history so it would not return.

Windows
Microsoft Teams would not load
Microsoft Teams was not loading on the machine, and repairing or resetting it did not fix the problem. The technician reinstalled Microsoft Teams, and it then worked as intended.

Windows
BitLocker was blocked by a conflicting startup authentication policy
BitLocker was not resuming because a Group Policy required a USB drive at startup. The authentication policy was adjusted, BitLocker resumed normally, the recovery key was saved to Entra ID, and a test file save did not trigger another BitLocker prompt.

Windows
Website opens in a 'Personalized View' instead of the normal page
The website was not loading normally because it was in a 'Personalized View' state. Closing that view restored normal website functionality.

Windows
SNet hold audio was one-way during calls
When a call was put on hold, the local user could no longer hear the other party, but the other party could still hear the local user. The technician corrected the audio routing by setting the headset as the default audio device in SNet and switching the app to softphone mode, then verified the issue was gone.

Windows
Claude Desktop needed a per-user install after an admin install
Claude Desktop was first installed with admin access, but it is a per-user installer so it also had to be installed in the user's own account. After the reinstall, the user signed in and confirmed the app worked.
