Bugs Killed

Windows

Continuous scrolling caused by wireless mouse receiver

All apps and menus kept scrolling indefinitely, including Excel and Windows Settings. Unplugging the wireless mouse USB receiver stopped the scrolling, so the mouse/receiver was treated as faulty and left disconnected pending replacement.

What you see

  • Every app and menu scrolls continuously
  • Excel and Windows Settings keep moving/scrolling without input

Why it happens

Likely A faulty wireless mouse or its receiver was likely sending continuous scroll input.

When it shows up

You are in this case if:

  • Wireless mouse USB receiver connected
  • Unplugging the receiver stops the scrolling
