Bugs Killed
Problems I have seen killed on Windows and Mac, with the steps that killed them.
Each page says where it comes from: a repair I made, a repair by someone from XL.net, or published sources you can open. The steps are one quick check away.
Windows
Laptop showed very low battery, then black screen and no charging lights
The laptop first showed a very low battery warning, then went to a black screen and appeared dead while plugged into its charger. The technician connected it to a different power adapter, got it through BitLocker recovery, and installed Docker updates; the charging function issue was marked fixed.

Windows
Phantom keyboard and mouse input while docked
A docked laptop was adding extra keyboard and mouse inputs, including numbers changing and windows switching on their own. The technician found nothing suspicious, cleaned up startup items, installed pending system/driver/firmware updates, ran Disk Cleanup, and the issue had not returned at follow-up.

External monitors were not being recognized when connected through the dock. The technician suspected a bad HDMI port on the docking station, moved one monitor to a direct laptop connection, extended the display settings, and restarted the laptop to correct the resolution on one monitor.

Windows
BitLocker protection kept turning off after a pending BIOS update was paused
BitLocker protection kept dropping off on the laptop because SupportAssist kept retrying a BIOS update that needed a full restart. The fix was to turn BitLocker back on, back up the recovery keys, and change the power setting so shutdown triggers a true restart cycle before the machine is restarted.
