Bugs Killed
Problems I have seen killed on Windows and Mac, with the steps that killed them.

A printer issue was reported. The technician completed a change on the firewall side, and the printer test was later confirmed as working.

ScanSnap Home was outdated and would not connect to the iX1600 scanner
ScanSnap Home could not connect to the USB 3.0 ScanSnap iX1600 scanner and kept failing during setup. The technician removed ScanSnap Home, rebooted the PC, and installed the latest version with admin credentials; the scanner then detected correctly and a test scan succeeded.

External monitor stopped displaying on a laptop until Windows updates and the graphics driver were refreshed
An external monitor connected to a laptop stopped working. The issue was resolved by finishing Windows updates, uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics driver, and rebooting; the monitor then displayed normally on both screens.

Konica Minolta Bizhub C451i printing not available until driver was installed
The workstation could scan to the Konica Minolta Bizhub C451i, but it could not print because the printer driver was not installed. The driver was installed and a test page printed successfully.

Local admin assignment did not apply when added as a group
The requested admin access did not take effect when the users were added as a group. The configuration was changed so each account was added individually, then it synced and worked as local admin.

Windows print options showed the wrong default printer
The printer was not set as the default in Windows, so the wrong printer name appeared in print options. The correct printer was set as default and was shown online afterward.

Slow document opening after restart; temp cleanup and driver repair helped
The Windows machine was running very slowly and taking a long time to open documents even after restarts. The technician removed bloatware and temporary files from the Temp folder, repaired corrupted drivers, and the slowdown was no longer reproducible; the user later confirmed the issue was resolved.

Scan to network folder failed because the scanner account lacked folder permissions
Scanning to the network folder was failing and the file was not arriving in the destination folder. The technician corrected the scanner account permissions on the affected scan folders and verified that a test scan worked.

Slow startup and general lag; SFC repaired corrupted system files
The machine was slow to start and lagged during normal use. System File Checker found corrupted files, they were repaired, the machine was rebooted, and Windows Update with hardware driver updates was applied; the hardware scan was normal.

Printer disconnected from wireless and went offline
The printer lost its wireless connection and went offline. It was reconnected to wireless and reinstalled on the computer, and printing then worked from both the local machine and the virtual machine.
