Bugs Killed
Problems I have seen killed on Windows and Mac, with the steps that killed them.

Xerox printer had to be added by IP address
Printing was not working until the printer was added manually by its IP address. After that, it was tested and worked normally.

The printer's scan-to-email function was failing because its SMTP settings had reverted to default values. The settings were reviewed and a test scan was performed to verify the fix.

File Explorer fails to open or extract zip archives; 7-Zip is used as a workaround
Zip archives would not open or extract correctly in Windows Explorer. The technician confirmed 7-Zip could extract the files and advised creating the destination folder first, then extracting into the correct folder.

Banking app check upload stalls partway through
A check upload/transaction stalled in the middle of processing in a banking app. The technician retried the upload and it completed successfully; the earlier failure was suspected to be a temporary network interruption.

Default printer was printing double-sided instead of single-sided
The default printer was set to print double-sided when single-sided printing was needed. The technician found the correct M611 printer connection in Windows Devices, cleared the local printer setting that was overriding the option, and confirmed the fix with successful test prints.

Mouse cursor missing until driver updates were installed
The mouse pointer was not showing on the laptop. Installing a set of driver updates, including the touchpad driver, and then rebooting restored the cursor and normal control.

Duplicated monitors instead of separate extended displays
Multiple connected screens were duplicating the same image instead of working as separate displays. Support resolved it by disabling and then re-enabling the display drivers.

Printer output was garbled and print settings were ignored after a Windows 11 upgrade
Printers were producing jumbled text and one printer was not honoring settings such as one-sided printing after the computer was upgraded to Windows 11. The technician reinstalled both printer drivers with the correct drivers and then tested printing successfully.

Remote desktop sign-in failed with "internal error"
Sign-in to the virtual desktop failed and showed "internal error." The technician identified a server-side issue and restarted the virtual desktop, after which the user confirmed it connected normally.

Laptop trackpad stopped working after return from service
The laptop trackpad was not working. The technician installed Lenovo Vantage to push the latest firmware and then installed the latest trackpad driver, which restored trackpad function.
