Bugs Killed
Problems I have seen killed on Windows and Mac, with the steps that killed them.

Re-add a Canon printer to a new laptop
A home Canon printer was no longer connected to the new laptop. The technician installed it on the laptop and confirmed that it printed from both the laptop and the virtual machine.

Computer would not wake from screensaver or idle state
The machine would go idle/screensaver and then not wake with the mouse or keyboard, requiring a forced power-off and restart. The technician changed the idle display behavior, installed pending Windows updates including Intel graphics driver updates, and restarted the machine.

Mitel Connect reinstall and sign-in
Mitel Connect was reinstalled with updates and the user was signed back into the account. The app was working normally afterward.

Low disk space causing slow app and file loading
Apps and files were slow to open because the system drive was low on free space. Disk space was cleared up to about 24 GB free, then the Revit file was retested and opened without disk space error messages.

Remote Desktop Connection shortcut stopped working after an update
The old Remote Desktop Connection shortcut no longer worked. The technician pinned the new version to the taskbar, and the user was then able to connect to the virtual desktop.

Windows print spooler error prevented printers from appearing
The print spooler was erroring and the printer list was not available when trying to print. Windows and firmware updates were installed, the print spooler was restarted, and printing worked again after reboot.

Scanner/printer connection lost on the workstation
The workstation could not use the Epson scanner, and the ID machine app would not open for the user. The technician reconnected the machine to the Epson scanner and the Brother printer, then confirmed that ID and document scanning worked.

OneDrive would not sync a SharePoint library because a duplicate library shortcut was already present
A SharePoint library would not sync to OneDrive. The conflicting SharePoint library shortcut was removed from OneDrive, then the library synced successfully and its contents were confirmed in File Explorer.

Slow performance when powered through a docking station
The computer was running slowly while it was being charged through a docking station. The technician plugged the charger directly into the computer, after which it was working faster, and the user was told to monitor it.

Erratic mouse input from a wireless dongle
The computer was bouncing around on screen and clicking an email would open it instead of deleting it. Removing the mouse dongle/receiver stopped the behavior and the computer worked normally afterward.
