Bugs Killed
Problems I have seen killed on Windows and Mac, with the steps that killed them.

Logon pop-up: "unknown software exception"
A Windows logon pop-up showed "unknown software exception" every time the session started. The machine was rebooted and the program associated with the error was removed.

Domain trust failed on sign-in
A domain-joined workstation showed "the trust relationship between this workstation and the domain failed" during sign-in. The issue was cleared by restarting the Active Directory/domain controller side and sign-in was confirmed working again.

Mouse pointer issue caused by weak mouse batteries
The mouse pointer issue was resolved by replacing the mouse batteries.

SolidWorks Toolbox error caused by incorrect GTOL.SYSM path
SolidWorks Toolbox was failing because the symbol library file was pointed to the wrong location. The path was corrected so GTOL.SYSM could be found, and the issue was resolved.

Outlook on the PC would not accept the work account
The user could sign into the account on a phone but not in Outlook on the PC. Reauthenticated the Microsoft 365 work account on the machine, corrected the default email address in Outlook, and confirmed send/receive worked.

The user reported trouble reaching older invoice files in a SharePoint folder. Access was confirmed with the user and the needed file was located, so no permission change was needed.

Microsoft Teams shows virtual desktop optimization warning and gets disconnected
Microsoft Teams was kicking the user out and showing the warning "Teams is not optimized for a virtual desktop; you might have issues with audio and video." The technician fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling Teams on the local machine.

Microsoft Teams was reinstalled and the Windows App was installed on the computer. The technician verified that both applications were working properly.

Printer installed but scanning needed the Scan app workaround
The printer/scanner setup installed, but scanning did not have a usable vendor scanner driver. The technician installed the Scan application as a workaround and added its shortcut to the taskbar.
