Windows
Windows PC reboots repeatedly after login
The PC would boot, open Chrome for D365, then show a restart error and loop rebooting. The technician repaired corrupt files and rebooted the machine, and it was working normally afterward.
Killed once by someone from XL.net, on 2026-06-19.
Affects
Apps
- Chrome
What you see
- After login, Chrome opens for D365 and then the PC shows "your computer has encountered a problem and must restart".
- The machine reboots over and over again and will not stay running.
Why it happens
Likely Corrupt files on the PC were the likely cause.
When it shows up
A Windows PC gets into a reboot loop right after login, with Chrome opening for D365 before the restart message appears.
You are in this case if:
- Chrome opens at login before the failure
- The screen shows "your computer has encountered a problem and must restart"
- The PC reboots repeatedly instead of staying at the desktop
