Voicemail messages were being routed to Junk because the sender was blocked
Messages from one sender were being moved to the Junk folder by mail junk settings. The blocked sender entry was removed, the sender was added to Safe Senders, and messages already in Junk were marked Not Junk and returned to the Inbox.
Killed once by someone from XL.net, on 2025-11-06.
Affects
Versions
- Windows
What you see
- Messages from a known sender were appearing in the Junk folder instead of the Inbox.
Why it happens
Likely The sender address was listed in Blocked Senders, which caused messages from that sender to be moved automatically to Junk.
When it shows up
A sender's messages are being filed to Junk and the mail client's Junk Email settings show that sender in Blocked Senders.
You are in this case if:
- The sender address appears in Blocked Senders.
- Messages from that sender are found in the Junk folder.
- The sender is not yet listed in Safe Senders.
