Bugs Killed

Windows

Mouse stuck on one screen with dual monitors

The mouse would not move between two monitors. The monitor order and default monitor settings were changed, and the pointer then moved normally across both screens.

Killed once by someone from XL.net, on 2026-02-13.

Affects

Hardware

  • dual-monitor setup

What you see

  • Mouse pointer stayed on one screen in a dual-monitor setup
  • Pointer would not move across to the other monitor

Why it happens

Likely Monitor order or default monitor settings were incorrect for the dual-monitor layout.

When it shows up

A Windows computer has two displays, but the pointer stops at one edge and will not cross to the other screen.

You are in this case if:

  • Two monitors are connected
  • Windows display arrangement does not match the physical monitor layout
  • The wrong monitor is set as the main display
